The University of the Philippines Debate Society is hosting Pre-Australs, this June 28-30, 2008, at the University of the Philippines, Diliman campus. This tournament will serve as an excellent preparation for the upcoming Australasians 2008, which will be held in Manila just a few days after this.

Set in the Austral-asians debating format, this tournament will consist of five preliminary rounds, a quarterfinal, semifinal, and final round. It will also feature a coaching system wherein teams, upon registration, can opt in for a coach who can provide valuable input during preparation time. The enriching debates and outstanding adjudication will truly result into fruitful training for the upcoming major tournament.

For just an amount of Php 2,000.00 (approximately USD 47.00), participants can enjoy a remarkable tournament experience that can warm them up for this year’s Australs. Aside from the costs of the tournament, this registration fee will cover three lunch meals, dinner on the first day, and two socials events. The latter will include cocktails during the break announcement and a farewell dinner on the awarding night.
