Hmmm… I don’t think a blog format is best for archival purposes. You can use a blog to post updates on current debating competitions and news and tips, but a ClicktheCity-like or a database-driven website is better for archives.
I think you can coerce WordPress to do both.

Eugene, I just moved the tabs to a page. I also got someone who will help me make a ezine-like layout. Yay.
